Main activities
The role of the investment analyst will include, alongside the principal/investment manager:
1. Analysis of investment targets
- Identify, contact and meet with startups that are relevant to the fund.
- Participate in the evaluation of investment opportunities with a special focus on strategic issues.
- Contribute to the production of deliverables: investment committees’ presentations, etc…
- Participate in the investment decision process and present new opportunities during team meetings.
2. Monitoring innovation and opportunities
- Be actively involved in monitoring the digital innovation market and investment landscape (incubators/ventures/peer or competitor strategic players). As such, you may be asked to produce ad hoc studies, for example on technological innovations, sectors, investment activity, etc…
- Identify investment opportunities based on Orange Ventures’ selection criteria.
Skills and qualities required
- Currently enrolled in a master program in a business or engineering school (or equivalent).
- Passionate about innovation and the world of startups. Good knowledge of digital players / interest shown for new digital technologies and services.
- Ability to analyze, synthesize, and restitute.
- Team spirit / good interpersonal skills.
- Autonomy, reactivity, rigour.
- Proficient in Office and fluent in English.
